The unique flow and shallow depths of the Susquehanna River make commercial navigation impractical. However, these same conditions make it the ideal waterway to explore with canoes and kayaks.  Traveling by kayak at a relaxing pace enables visitors to slow down and escape from the fast pace of their everyday lives. It also provides them with the time to absorb what they are seeing and learning as they meander down the river.

With more than 50 single- and double-person kayaks, the team at Susquehanna Outdoor Adventures can provide a wide range of river experiences for groups of any size.  Rent our kayaks for a short trip to the island or a long day on the river. We'll take care of drop off, pick up and everything in between.

Kayakers are also welcome to stop by and explore our private island, and can even pre-order lunch and have it delivered from the sandwich shop — also operated by the owners!
