With Susquehanna Outdoor Adventures, visitors have the chance to enjoy a getaway in true Robinson Crusoe style, or simply enjoy a pleasant day of kayaking.
Our private island in the middle of the Susquehanna River has 10 miles of hiking trails, dozens of spaces for tent camping, a cabin. Guests can paddle in on their own, rent our kayaks, or be ferried to the island — along with all of your gear.
Don't have a boat? Don't want to shop for camping? Don't know where to go once you hit the river? No problem! Our team will give you as much support or privacy as you'd like. Upon request our experienced river guides will accompany you down the river while your gear is delivered and the grill fired up waiting for your arrival.
We pride ourselves on creating whatever experience you are looking for, simply contact us if you'd like something different from what you find on our site. The island is the perfect spot for corporate events, outdoor "rugged" weddings, team-building events, birthday parties, and any other event you can imagine!

From group events that enjoy the entire island to family treehouse or tent spaces, our island has something for everyone. Book early and by midweek for the best chance to reserve one of our river-view treehouses!
With more than 50 single- and two-person kayaks available, we can accommodate groups of any size. We supply everything including transportation from start to finish.
Once in a lifetime experience, kayaking on the river, hiking the Island and staying overnight in a real honest to goodness Tree House over looking the River!
This is a truly unique experience for a couple or bonding with a son, daughter, niece or nephew.

We have been coming to kayak island for the last 4 years now for our annual camping trip. The island is peaceful and beautiful. It is one of my favorite places ever. Plus Chris is the best!!!! Can't wait for summer to start!
